Going this weekend with my Coney Island girl .
I have mixed feelings about going . Why when prior to '95 I went to see JGB or BW ( solo , w/RW ) it was music that inspired me , moved me as a GD show ; and now , from ' 99 on I mostly hope the music will not be cringe inducing . The exception being Ratdog on 9 - 9- 95 ( living in Dover N.H. @ the time > UNH ) for obvious reasons . BTW is that show posted anywhere ?
My Coney Island girl is already a few feet off the ground , singing away while making her hula hoops to sell this weekend . Ready to twirl .
rob turned me on to 4 - 17 - 99 , and from the 1st DS > My Fav Things is The best post - '95 ( post - '90 ? ) GD related music I've heard .
So it's my 16th wed. anniversary , no kids , NYC , summer weather , and with my girl . It would take a train to cry to turn the mood sour . But I have no expectations . I agree w/ MC re > risk taking / discovery . I think one thing that drove Lesh nuts was Garcia not rehearsing or sounding ' tight ' enough . They do both now . Maybe that's why .
edit - The Ratdog show was 8 - 9 - 95 @ the Hampton Casino , not 9 - 9 - 95
